Hot Toys turns the iconic Japanese Spider-Man into a high-end action figure

Sales have officially begun for a high-end action figure based on the cult classic Japanese TV series version of Spider-Man.
The new “Television Masterpiece Spider-Man 1/6 Scale Action Figure” has been produced by the manufacturer Hot Toys as part of their 25th-anniversary celebrations.

This figure celebrates the unique 1978 Tokusatsu adaptation of the Marvel hero, which is famous for introducing giant robots to the franchise and for its protagonist, Takuya Yamashiro.

Standing approximately 30 centimeters tall, the figure features over 30 points of articulation.

The developers have created a new head and fabric costume specifically to capture the nostalgic texture and details of the 1970s practical suit used in the show.

The Spider Bracelet on the left arm features an opening gimmick and is detailed down to the internal buttons.

Accessories include various web parts to recreate signature attacks like “Spider Strings” and “Spider Net,” along with a variety of interchangeable hands.

It also includes a special base featuring the show’s logo and a transparent logo plate.

In addition to the scale action figure, the “Cosbi” line of deformed figures is also receiving two new entries from the series.

Both Spider-Man and his giant robot Leopardon are joining the collection as palm-sized, 8-centimeter figures in window box packaging.

Hot Toys are also the distributor for a new Japan-exclusive statue of Leopardon from the manufacturer Beast Kingdom, which will be limited to 500 units.

The “Television Masterpiece Spider-Man” is priced at 40,000 yen (approx. $258.65 USD / £205.13 GBP).

It launched on November 21, 2025, at the Hot Toys flagship store “Toy Sapiens” in Tokyo.

Online sales via the Toy Sapiens store will begin on November 25, only if inventory remains.

The “Cosbi” Spider-Man and Leopardon figures are priced at 2,500 yen (approx. $16.17 USD / £12.82 GBP) each and are also available starting November 21.
