Honda Unveils Official Freedom Gundam Inspired Gundam SEED Collab Scooter

One of the biggest surprises at BilibiliWorld 2026 came in the form of a full-size Honda scooter inspired by Mobile Suit Gundam SEED’s iconic Freedom Gundam, which made its public debut during the event in Shanghai.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED first aired in 2002 and remains one of the franchise’s most successful alternate universe series, with the Freedom Gundam becoming one of its most recognizable Mobile Suits thanks to its distinctive winged design and its role as Kira Yamato’s signature machine.

The new collaboration was showcased by Bandai Namco Group at its Gundam booth during BilibiliWorld 2026, which was held in Shanghai, China, from July 10 to July 12.

Developed by Sundiro Honda, Honda’s joint venture motorcycle manufacturer in China, the prototype is based on the company’s NS125FX, a 125cc gasoline-powered scooter sold in the Chinese market.

Instead of introducing mechanical upgrades, the collaboration focuses on transforming the scooter’s appearance with styling inspired directly by the Freedom Gundam.

The custom paint scheme recreates the Mobile Suit’s signature blue, white, and red color palette, while specially designed graphics faithfully reflect the look of one of Gundam SEED’s most iconic machines.

Details including “FREEDOM GUNDAM” decals and “ET101” markings further strengthen the connection to the legendary Mobile Suit, making the inspiration immediately obvious to longtime fans.

The prototype quickly became one of the standout attractions inside the Gundam booth, drawing crowds of visitors eager to photograph the unique collaboration from every angle.

Representatives at the event confirmed that the Freedom Gundam-themed NS125FX collaborative scooter is intended to become a Chinese market limited-edition production model rather than remaining a one-off concept.

Honda has yet to reveal the scooter’s final specifications or performance details, though they should be expected to be the same as the base NS125FX model, and pricing and a launch date have not yet been confirmed.
