The package combines updated versions of three foundational titles that helped establish the series and its signature style of open-ended assassination gameplay.

Included in the collection are HITMAN: Codename 47, HITMAN 2: Silent Assassin, and HITMAN: Contracts.

The remaster aims to preserve the core mechanics, atmosphere, and player freedom that defined the original releases while updating them for modern systems.

Players will once again step into the role of Agent 47 and revisit the events that shaped the legendary assassin’s early career.

Each mission is designed to offer multiple methods of reaching objectives, encouraging experimentation and allowing players to approach challenges in different ways.

A major focus of the collection is maintaining the freedom to choose between stealth, disguise, environmental manipulation, and direct action when carrying out contracts.

Visual improvements include upgraded character models, enhanced environmental details, and higher-resolution textures throughout all three games.

A dedicated Photo Mode has also been added, allowing players to capture images of Agent 47 and the game’s locations during missions.

One of the collection’s notable additions is an instant graphics-switching feature that lets players move between the original presentation and the enhanced visuals at any time.

The gameplay continues to emphasize careful planning, observation, timing, and adaptability, with players expected to react when situations unfold differently than anticipated.

The trilogy also showcases the evolution of the HITMAN formula across its early years, from the experimental mission structures of Codename 47 to the more refined stealth systems of Silent Assassin and the darker, psychological themes explored in Contracts.

Developers describe the experience as one where disguises, improvisation, and creative problem-solving are key tools, ensuring that no two mission playthroughs unfold exactly the same way.

An announcement trailer has been released alongside the reveal, accompanied by an initial selection of screenshots showcasing the updated visuals.

No pricing information has been announced, though HITMAN Classic Trilogy Remastered is currently scheduled to launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2027.
