Gundam model gets down to Kenshi Yonezu’s “Plazma” in new stop motion dance video
A new stop-motion video featuring a Gundam model kit grooving to singer Yonezu Kenshi’s latest hit, “Plazma,” has been released on the official YouTube and TikTok accounts of the popular artist.
“Plazma” is immediately recognisable to fans as the opening theme song for the new “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” anime series.
The unexpected and delightful animation premiered on Tuesday, April 29th, sending social media into a frenzy.
The post accompanying the video playfully encourages viewers to “feel free to make Gunpla dance on their own or play with them however you like,” sparking enthusiastic reactions and shares across various platforms.
The intricate stop-motion animation was brought to life by the talented “Animist” stop-motion creative team.
The song “Plazma” was specifically written and performed by Yonezu Kenshi as the theme song for “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” and was released digitally on January 20th.
Riding the wave of the anime’s theatrical success, the track quickly dominated music charts, achieving 31 daily ranking crowns and four weekly chart-topping positions, proving to be a long-lasting hit.
