Gundam GQuuuuuuX's "RED GUNDAM" joins the GUNDAM UNIVERSE line

Bandai Spirits has announced a new action figure based on the recently concluded anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX.

The new product is a figure of the “gMS-α RED GUNDAM,” which will be released as part of the “GUNDAM UNIVERSE” line.

The GUNDAM UNIVERSE series is a globally distributed line of affordable, approximately 6-inch tall action figures.

The line is known for its focus on durability and playability, featuring dynamic, stylized sculpts that are designed to be both visually impressive and easy to handle, making it an excellent entry point for new collectors.

The first Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX mobile suit to join the GUNDAM UNIVERSE line was announced earlier this year to be the GQuuuuuuX itself.

This new figure of the RED GUNDAM incorporates a new internal frame structure called the “UNIVERSAL REACTION FRAME.”

This new frame is engineered to provide an optimal range of motion, allowing the figure to replicate action scenes from the anime.

The design of the figure balances the mobile suit’s unique appearance with a stylish, articulated form.

A variety of accessories are included with the figure.

These armaments include a beam rifle, two beam saber effect parts, and a distinctive shield that is emblazoned with the emblem of the Principality of Zeon.

The figure also comes with a hammer weapon, which uses a real metal chain, allowing for more expressive and dynamic posing.

Three pairs of interchangeable hands are also part of the set.

Pre-orders for the figure are scheduled to open at hobby goods stores next week, on Friday, the 1st of August, 2025.

The “GUNDAM UNIVERSE gMS-α RED GUNDAM” is priced at 5,500 yen (approx. $37.25 USD / £27.71 GBP) and it is currently scheduled to be released in February 2026.
