Gundam Base’s Exclusive Hi-ν Gundam Returns to P-Bandai US for Gundam Summer Fest 2026
Image by Charlotte DavisOne of the more difficult RG Hi-Nu Gundam variants to buy in the US has returned to Premium Bandai US, with the “The Gundam Base Limited Titanium Finish” edition arriving back in stock as part of the ongoing Gundam Summer Festival.
The kit is normally only available directly from official Gundam Base stores, making its latest release online particularly useful for collectors who do not have access to one locally.

Based on the Hi-Nu Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children, this limited version takes the already impressive RG model and replaces its standard appearance with a combination of Titanium Finish armor, metallic blue parts, and gold-plated mechanical details.

The white exterior armor receives the reflective Titanium Finish treatment, giving areas such as the chest, shoulders, arms, legs, and Fin Funnels a brighter metallic appearance without requiring builders to paint the kit themselves.
The Hi-Nu Gundam’s signature blue sections are instead produced in a glossy metallic molded color, creating a strong contrast with the coated white armor and making the distinctive blue-and-white Fin Funnels particularly prominent from the rear.

Bandai has also used matte gold plating across selected joints, the leg verniers, and the bases of the large propellant tanks, adding another metallic finish to areas that would normally expose more conventional frame colors.

The combination gives the Titanium Finish version a considerably more elaborate appearance than the standard RG release while retaining the proportions and extensive mechanical detailing that made the original kit one of the standout entries in the Real Grade range.
Its articulation includes Bandai’s Multi-Link Gimmick, which causes sections of the armor to slide in conjunction with movement of the joints and exposes additional mechanical detail when the Hi-Nu Gundam is placed into more dynamic poses.

The upper waist can move independently to increase the range available through the torso, while the rear armor and large backpack have been engineered to accommodate the substantial Fin Funnel equipment without sacrificing the kit’s posing potential.

All six Fin Funnels are individually represented and connect to the large containers on either side of the backpack, with Advanced MS Joint parts helping them maintain their shape when opened into firing configurations.
The Fin Funnel containers themselves can open outward to give the backpack a wider wing-like appearance, while the long propellant tanks contribute to the Hi-Nu Gundam’s particularly substantial silhouette when viewed from behind.

Its weapon selection includes the Beam Rifle, New Hyper Bazooka, shield, and Beam Sabers, providing enough options to move between ranged combat and close-range poses without relying entirely on the Fin Funnels.

Three Beam Saber grips and two beam effect parts are included alongside multiple interchangeable hands, a weapon holder, and Realistic Decals for builders who want to add further markings across the finished model.
The right forearm also incorporates the Hi-Nu Gundam’s built-in beam gun, with a mechanism that extends the weapon when the wrist is moved downward.

Beyond the different finishes applied to the model itself, this Gundam Base Limited edition comes in dedicated premium-style packaging designed around the metallic appearance of the Titanium Finish release.
That combination of one of the Real Grade line’s most highly detailed mobile suits with a reflective white finish, metallic blue armor, gold-plated accents, six Fin Funnels, and a substantial weapon loadout makes this a particularly display-focused alternative to the standard RG Hi-Nu Gundam.
