Final Fantasy’s Original Hero Joins Good Smile’s Nendoroid Lineup

A new Nendoroid figure of the Warrior of Light, the protagonist of the original Final Fantasy, has been announced.
It was revealed during the “Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter” online presentation on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

This announcement celebrates the roots of the legendary RPG franchise by bringing its very first hero into the Nendoroid series.
The Warrior of Light represents the four youths chosen by the crystals to restore light to the world in the original 1987 game.

While the original characters were named by the player, this specific design is based on the concept artwork by Yoshitaka Amano, featuring the iconic horned helmet and blue armor.
This iteration of the character was fully realized and popularized in the Dissidia Final Fantasy fighting game series, where he serves as the stoic and chivalrous leader of the heroes chosen by Cosmos.

He is defined by his unwavering sense of duty, his mastery of sword and shield, and his dedication to protecting the balance of the world.
The Nendoroid adaptation captures his intricate armor design and flowing cape in the line’s signature chibi style.

This announcement complements a wave of Final Fantasy reveals from the same event.
It joins the previously announced Nendoroid Chocobo, as well as the Final Fantasy XIV trio of Y’shtola, G’raha Tia, and Estinien, marking a significant expansion of Square Enix characters in the Nendoroid lineup.

The “Nendoroid Warrior of Light” does not yet have a confirmed price or release date.
Information regarding the release schedule will be announced at a later date by Good Smile Company.

It will be available via the Good Smile Company Official Shop, as well as participating partner shops, such as HobbyLink Japan.
