Exclusive New Gear 5 Luffy Figuarts ZERO Revealed for ONE PIECE BASE SHOP
An exciting new and exclusive One Piece figure has officially been revealed by hobby figure manufacturer TAMASHII NATIONS.
Fans visiting the series’ official “ONE PIECE BASE SHOP” flagship store in Tokyo can soon get their hands on the “Monkey D. Luffy -Gear 5 Shinjuku Marui Main Building- Figuarts ZERO ONE PIECE BASE SHOP LIMITED” figure.
ONE PIECE BASE SHOP officially opened in December 2025, with the grand opening marred by issues caused by a lack of planning on behalf of the store management that led to stock running out almost immediately as fans were left in hours-long queues.
These issues led to the store suspending merchandise sales for a prolonged period, however ONE PIECE BASE SHOP has resumed normal service in the months since its opening and is now operating without any issues.
Luffy’s iconic Gear 5 transformation made its highly anticipated animated debut during the climax of the Wano Country Arc in episode 1071.
Pushed to the absolute brink in his battle against the formidable Kaido, the pirate captain awakened the true power of his Devil Fruit, revealing it to be the Mythical Zoan-type Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika.
This ultimate form allows him to fight with complete cartoon-like freedom, famously dubbed by the Five Elders as the most ridiculous ability in the world.
TAMASHII NATIONS has utilized its top-tier sculpting technology to capture that exact chaotic energy in a compact yet incredibly detailed diorama format.
It dynamically depicts the newly transformed emperor standing triumphantly atop a stylized version of the Shinjuku Marui Main Building, where the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP is located.
Luffy is proudly holding up the official store logo sign while his awakened rubbery powers comically distort the surrounding Tokyo intersection and cityscape.
Measuring approximately 14.5 cm in height, the vignette-style base is expertly designed to offer a deep, immersive aesthetic from any viewing angle.
Every detail from the intricate folds of his clothing down to his abdominal muscle lines has been meticulously recreated to bring the screen-accurate design to life.
A signature blue color scheme accented with beautiful pearl paint and smooth gradients is utilized across the display to enhance the commemorative nature of the piece.
Designers specifically engineered this collectible so that visitors could take the overwhelming energy and excitement of the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP with them.
Purchasing this exclusive release requires a bit of preparation, as admission to the flagship store operates entirely on an advance reservation system.
The Figuarts ZERO Monkey D. Luffy -Gear 5 Shinjuku Marui Main Building- ONE PIECE BASE SHOP LIMITED is priced at 11,000 yen (approx. $70 USD / £55 GBP), with availability restricted solely to the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP located on the 4th floor of the Shinjuku Marui Main Building.
This exclusive new figure is scheduled to officially release in July 2026.
