Dragon Ball’s Classic Manga Covers Inspire Exclusive New Official Merch Collection
Bandai has officially announced a new Dragon Ball Ichiban Kuji prize lottery that is set to turn classic artwork and memorable scenes from Akira Toriyama’s original manga into a range of exclusive prizes.
The new “Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball DRAGONBALL SNAP COLLECTION 3” is the third release in Bandai’s SNAP COLLECTION series, with its first revealed prizes putting Goku, Bulma, Trunks, Yamcha, Puar and Launch alongside some of the vehicles and unusual machines that have helped define Dragon Ball’s world.
Ichiban Kuji is Bandai’s lottery-style merchandise format, with fans purchasing entries for the chance to receive prizes from different tiers rather than buying each item individually.
The format also includes a special Last One Prize, which is typically awarded to the person who purchases the final remaining ticket at a participating location.
DRAGONBALL SNAP COLLECTION first launched in 2024 with a focus on memorable illustrations and scenes from the anime and manga, followed by a second collection in 2025 featuring characters including Goku, Chi-Chi, Master Roshi, Gohan and Videl.
The new third collection shifts much of its attention toward Dragon Ball’s vehicles, an area of the series that has also recently returned through Bandai’s CHANGEARTS line of transforming Hoi-Poi Capsule collectibles based on Bulma’s motorcycle, plane, Capsule House and Trunks’ Time Machine.
Let’s take a look at the prizes revealed so far!
- A Prize – “Bulma & Son Goku DRAGONBALL SNAP FIGURE”
A recreation of the Dragon Ball Volume 10 cover featuring an approximately 21 cm Bulma figure alongside a 7.5 cm young Goku.
- B Prize – “Trunks & Bulma & Baby Trunks DRAGONBALL SNAP FIGURE”
A vehicle scene based on the Dragon Ball Volume 32 cover, measuring approximately 24 cm long and 9 cm tall.
- C Prize – “Yamcha & Puar DRAGONBALL SNAP FIGURE”
An approximately 21 cm figure of Yamcha and Puar riding the Jet Squirrel vehicle seen during Dragon Ball’s early adventures.
- D Prize – “Launch DRAGONBALL SNAP FIGURE”
An approximately 21 cm figure available in two randomly distributed versions depicting Launch in her blue-haired and blonde-haired forms.
- Last One Prize / Double Chance Campaign – “Son Goku & Bulma DRAGONBALL SNAP FIGURE”
An approximately 18 cm recreation of the Dragon Ball Volume 2 cover featuring Goku and Bulma riding an ostrich-like creature.
Prizes E through I have yet to be revealed, meaning Bandai still has several smaller collectibles and merchandise tiers to announce before the lottery launches.
Each entry for “Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball DRAGONBALL SNAP COLLECTION 3” will cost ¥800 (approximately $5 / £4), with the lottery scheduled to launch at participating retailers in Japan from mid-March 2027.
