Dedicated Gundam Wing stores set to open in four major Japanese cities

Official stores dedicated to the classic anime series “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing” will soon be opening across Japan.
“Mobile Suit Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary Limited Time Official Shop” pop-up shops are set to open in four cities later this year.

These pop-up shops will feature new character illustrations and offer exclusive merchandise and mini-games, aiming to rekindle the excitement of the series’ three-decade legacy.

“Mobile Suit Gundam Wing”, which first aired in Japan in 1995, gained immense popularity both domestically and internationally.

It was particularly popular in the West, where it served as an introduction to the “Gundam” franchise for many viewers.
The series is known for its five iconic Gundam pilots – Heero Yuy, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, and Chang Wufei.
It follows their struggle against the oppressive OZ organization, set against a backdrop of complex political maneuvering and visually striking mobile suit designs.

The first store will be located in Tokyo’s Akihabara district.
It will be hosted within the Bandai Namco Cross Store Akihabara Atre, a large retail area which offers various Bandai Namco Group experiences, including official character shops, arcade games, and event spaces.

The Akihabara store will be open from Friday, August 8th. until Sunday, September 28th, operating from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The “Limited Time Official Shop” concept will then embark on a tour across Japan as it heads to Osaka, Fukuoka and Sendai:
- Umeda, Osaka

The shop will open within the Namco Umeda arcade from Saturday, October 18th, to Sunday, November 9th. Operating hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (last entry 9:30 PM).
- Hakata, Fukuoka

Fans in Fukuoka can visit the store at the Bandai Namco Cross Store Hakata from Saturday, November 15th, to Sunday, December 7th, with business hours from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
