Converse x Chiikawa second collab designs and release date confirmed
Converse has revealed the designs and the release date for their second collaboration shoe collection with the popular character Chiikawa.
Chiikawa, created by illustrator Nagano, originated as a webcomic and quickly gained widespread popularity across social media platforms in Japan, known for its endearing characters and often bittersweet everyday adventures.
The series features Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and other friends, navigating their daily lives.
Converse, a global footwear brand with a long history, frequently engages in partnerships that merge its classic sneaker designs with popular cultural phenomena, bringing a fresh appeal to its iconic styles.
The second collaboration introduces two new models, both designed to integrate the charm of Chiikawa and its friends into everyday footwear:
ALL STAR LIGHT PLTS PT HI / CHIIKAWA
This lightweight platform high-top model is based on the “ALL STAR LIGHT” series. It features an all-over print of Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi.
Key design elements include an ankle patch stylized with a Chiikawa-inspired font and a lining adorned with “star” motifs associated with the characters.
The ALL STAR LIGHT PLTS PT HI / CHIIKAWA will be available in Cream, Black, and Light Gray, in sizes ranging from 22.5cm to 25.0cm.

ALL STAR GD OX / CHIIKAWA
This low-cut model comes with four unique gold charms – featuring Chiikawa, Hachiware, Usagi, and the Converse logo – that can be freely attached or removed from the left and right shoes.
The shoe also incorporates a tape design that mimics Chiikawa’s distinct illustration style, and the lining showcases an illustration of the characters standing together.
The ALL STAR GD OX / CHIIKAWA will come in Black and White, with a broader size range from 22.0cm to 28.0cm, and extending to 29.0cm and 30.0cm.

All shoes will come in an exclusive Chiikawa x Converse box.
Each of the new Chiikawa x Converse shoes are priced at ¥13,200 (tax included) and will go on sale starting June 20th.
These special models will be sold at Converse Store locations, White atelier BY CONVERSE, the CONVERSE OFFICIAL ONLINE SHOP, and select Converse retailers.
