Burning Godzilla fuses with EVA-01 for new “Godzilla vs. Evangelion” figure

A new figure based on the crossover project “Godzilla vs. Evangelion” has been announced.
Created by manufacturer PLEX, the figure is based on an original concept from the collaboration, which imagines what would happen if the bio-mechanical Evangelion Unit-01 were injected with “G-Cells,” the regenerative cells of Godzilla.

This new “Defo-Real” figure features the “Burning ‘G’ Awakening Form,” a stylized form that fuses the biological, reptilian features of Godzilla with the mechanical armor of the Evangelion Unit-01.

The “Defo-Real” brand is known for its unique art style that combines a “super-deformed” or chibi-style body with realistically sculpted and textured details.

It features newly sculpted parts for its head, left arm, and its “Angel Halo,” and is painted in a color scheme inspired by both the awakened form of Unit-01 and the “Burning Godzilla” from the films.
The dorsal fins on its back and the red portions of its body are treated with fluorescent paint, which allows them to glow when placed under a blacklight.

The figure is being released in two different versions.

A standard version is available, as well as a “Limited Edition” that includes an exclusive light-up feature.

The Limited Edition comes with a separate power unit that illuminates the figure’s eyes and the core in its chest.

The “Defo-Real Evangelion Unit-01 Burning ‘G’ Awakening Form” is scheduled for release in November 2025.
The standard version is priced at ¥15,400 (approx. $104 USD/£78 GBP), while the light-up Limited Edition is priced at ¥16,500 (approx. $112 USD/£84 GBP).
Pre-orders for the new figure can be placed on the Premium Bandai website.
