Berserk Manga Returns With 3 New Chapters Over 20 Years in the Making
Hakusensha has officially published a brand new chapter of the legendary dark fantasy manga Berserk.
The highly anticipated Chapter 384 has arrived in the 12th issue of Young Animal magazine, marking the start of a special three-part consecutive release run.
This return is a massive event for fans, as the previous installment launched all the way back in September 2025.
Following the tragic passing of original creator Kentaro Miura in May 2021, the iconic serialization eventually resumed under a dedicated new collaborative structure.
The series is currently being beautifully illustrated by the talented artists at Studio Gaga, with close friend and fellow manga author Kouji Mori acting as the primary supervisor.
This passionate creative team is entirely dedicated to honoring the original vision of the story, continuing the grueling journey set in a brutal world of swords, magic, and terrifying monsters.
The latest chapters thrust the main protagonist Guts into a deeply isolating situation after being forcibly separated from his trusted friends and allies.
Trapped within a dark shrine, the series appears to be shifting toward a highly introspective storyline where the struggling hero must confront his past actions and potentially evolve as a human being.
Mori recently took to his personal social media accounts to share the immense weight and pressure behind these specific upcoming installments.
The supervisor revealed that this exact psychological storyline was something Miura had carefully planned and agonized over for more than two decades.
Because of the deep complexity of the narrative direction, Mori worked incredibly closely with Shimada, their longtime editor and mentor, checking over the dialogue numerous times to ensure every single line was handled with the utmost care and respect.
English language publisher Dark Horse Comics has also provided a reassuring update for international readers eager to experience the continuation.
The publisher confirmed that they are actively monitoring the Japanese launch and will eventually collect these new chapters into an official English volume down the line.

The second and third chapters of this special consecutive run are currently scheduled to launch in Japan on Friday, June 26, and Friday, July 10, 2026.
