Bellwright Arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series on June 9

Publisher Snail and developer Donkey Crew have announced that the open-world survival crafting game Bellwright will launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on June 9, 2026.

The title originally debuted in Early Access for PC via Steam on April 23, 2024, and has since sold over one million copies.

While the upcoming console versions are not officially carrying the Early Access label, the game is set to remain in that development stage across all platforms following the June 9 release.

These new versions have been specifically optimized for large screen play and include dedicated gamepad support to enhance the console experience.

Creative director and project lead Florian Hoffreither stated that the move allows PlayStation and Xbox players to access the full game alongside two years of major content updates.

The narrative follows a protagonist framed for the murder of a prince who must lead a rebellion against an oppressive sovereign to uncover family secrets.

Players are tasked with establishing settlements, managing resources, and recruiting followers with unique skills to build a force capable of standing against the Crown.

The gameplay features skill-based directional combat with a variety of medieval weaponry, including swords, axes, and bows.

Tactical army command is also a central mechanic, allowing players to control squads and formations on the battlefield.

This console release follows the game’s recent milestone of surpassing one million units sold on Steam as of March 6, 2026.
