“Beauty and the Beast” capsule toy collection gets a fresh coat of paint for re-release

The upcoming release of a range of new Beauty and the Beast gacha toys has been announced.

They are being produced by Takara Tomy Arts, a Japanese toy manufacturer known for its extensive range of gachapon (capsule toys), and feature characters from Disney’s beloved animated classic Beauty and the Beast.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, originally released as an animated film in 1991, is a cornerstone of the Disney Renaissance era and a timeless tale of love, transformation, and inner beauty.

The film is celebrated for its enchanting story, memorable songs, stunning animation and iconic characters, particularly the enchanted objects within the Beast’s castle.

The “Beauty and the Beast Character Royal Collection” is a revamped version of the “Beauty and the Beast Character Assortment Collection” previously released in February 2024.

The key distinguishing feature of this new collection is the gold-painted finish applied to the figures, giving them a luxurious and “royal” aesthetic that perfectly complements the film’s fairy-tale theme.

The line-up for this collection comprises six characters, bringing some of the most popular enchanted characters from the film to life:

A notable update for fans who collected the previous assortment is that the facial expressions for both Mrs. Potts and Chip have been changed for the “Royal Collection”, offering a fresh take on these familiar characters.

These charming figures are scheduled to be available in late June 2025, with each one costing 300 yen.
