Bandai turns Calbee’s Jagarico into a transforming robot figure to celebrate its 30th anniversary

A new collaboration has been announced between Calbee’s iconic “Jagarico” snack and Bandai Spirits’ legendary “Chogokin” robot brand.
The new “Chogokin Jagarico King” figure celebrates the 30th anniversary of Jagarico, which first launched in 1995, and the 50th anniversary of the Chogokin brand, which began in 1974.

The collaboration fuses the “playfulness” and “excitement” of both brands into a single, unique collectible.
The “Chogokin Jagarico King” has two different modes.

In its “Jagarico Mode,” it perfectly replicates the look of a standard Jagarico cup.

When the lid is opened, it reveals what appears to be a cup packed with Jagarico sticks, which are actually specially molded parts.

This unit can then be removed from the cup and transformed into its “Robot Mode,” revealing the “potato knight king,” Jagarico King.

This die-cast robot figure comes equipped with a staff, a shield (which features a plated emblem), and a cape.

A 2-meter-tall, giant “Chogokin Jagarico King” cup is also scheduled to be on display at the “TAMASHII NATION 2025” exhibition in Akihabara this November.

The “Chogokin Jagarico King” is a 12.5cm (approx. 4.9 inches) tall figure made from ABS, die-cast, and POM materials.

It is priced at ¥13,750 (approx. $93 USD / £74 GBP).
Pre-orders for the new figure are scheduled to open via the Premium Bandai online store on Thursday, the 23rd of October, 2025, which is officially “Jagarico Day.”

The figure is scheduled to be shipped to customers in May of 2026.
