Bandai Reveals New Rainbow Colored Wing Gundam Zero (EW) Gunpla Kit

Bandai Spirits has officially revealed a new entry in the Master Grade SD (MGSD) line during the recent “Gunpla 45th Anniversary Special Broadcast Finale” livestream, which utilises experimental manufacturing techniques.
The “MGSD Wing Gundam Zero (EW) Structural Coating” utilizes a new technology to apply a specialized finish to the inner frame and accents of the popular kit.

This “Structural Coating” applies a spectrum of metallic colours that create a rainbow effect, shifting hues depending on the angle from which it is viewed.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz is the OVA sequel to the 1995 television series, famous for Hajime Katoki’s distinct redesigns of the main mobile suits, particularly the angel-winged Wing Zero piloted by Heero Yuy.

The MGSD line integrates the internal skeletal structure and articulation of Master Grade kits into the condensed proportions of the SD (Super Deformed) format, offering high detail in a smaller size.

For this special release, the main armor is finished in a “Jet Black” colour scheme rather than the traditional white and blue associated with the unit.

The developers described the design concept as the “aesthetics of a glimpse,” as the structural coating is primarily hidden by the outer armor, allowing the rainbow radiance to peek through gaps for a luxurious and subtle finish.

The “MGSD Wing Gundam Zero (EW) Structural Coating” does not yet have a confirmed price or release date.

It will be available via the official Premium Bandai online store, with further details to be announced at a later date.
