The Gundam x hololive Production collaboration has finally shown off the first three Real Grade Gunpla kits that will see the crossover’s custom mobile suit designs join Bandai’s highly detailed 1/144 scale model kit line.

Bandai displayed the three models at Tokyo Toy Show 2026, with Houshou Marine’s Crossbone Gundam X1, Shirakami Fubuki’s Gundam Exia and a special hololive Production version of the RX-78-2 Gundam all appearing in completed form.

The “Gundam x hololive Production” project began earlier in 2026 as a much wider crossover combining individually customized mobile suits with original pilot outfits, music, mini-stories and merchandise built around members of hololive.

Its first wave paired six talents with Gundams selected from across the franchise, including Sakura Miko with Nu Gundam, Hoshimachi Suisei with Sazabi, Shirakami Fubuki with Gundam Exia and Houshou Marine with Crossbone Gundam X1 .

A second wave later expanded the project to 12 pairings, adding characters including Usada Pekora with Unicorn Gundam, Oozora Subaru with Wing Gundam Zero EW and Mori Calliope with Gundam Epyon.

The first of the newly displayed kits is the “RG 1/144 Crossbone Gundam X1 [Houshou Marine Ver.],” which turns one of Gundam’s most obvious pirate-themed mobile suits into a model inspired by hololive’s own pirate captain.

Crossbone Gundam X1 originates from the Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam manga and is best known for its skull imagery, close-range fighting equipment and association with the space-faring Crossbone Vanguard, making it an especially natural match for Marine.

Marine’s version replaces much of the mobile suit’s familiar coloring with a combination of deep red and black inspired by her own appearance, immediately separating it from the standard RG Crossbone Gundam X1.

The reference model shown at Tokyo Toy Show did not feature the Crossbone Gundam’s familiar ABC Mantle, and Bandai has not yet detailed what accessories would be included with the final kit once it goes on sale.

Shirakami Fubuki receives the “RG 1/144 Gundam Exia [Shirakami Fubuki Ver.],” based on Setsuna F. Seiei’s main Gundam from the opening portion of Mobile Suit Gundam 00.

Bandai has adapted Fubuki’s familiar asymmetrical appearance directly into the color scheme, dividing much of Exia between contrasting white and black sections while using light blue as an accent across the mobile suit.

The approach works particularly well on Exia because its segmented armor naturally provides plenty of separate areas for the split color scheme, allowing the model to reference Fubuki without replacing the basic identity of the Gundam underneath.

Completing the first RG lineup is the “RG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 [hololive Production Ver.],” which represents hololive itself rather than being based around one individual talent.

The model uses the recently redesigned RG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 as its foundation, replacing the original Gundam’s familiar primary colors with a light blue and white scheme based around hololive Production’s branding.

Its right shoulder carries the hololive Production logo, while the opposite shoulder features the Gundam x hololive collaboration emblem, making it the model that most directly represents the crossover as a whole.

The RX-78-2 had actually appeared as an early reference display during hololive SUPER EXPO 2026, but Tokyo Toy Show brought it together with Marine’s Crossbone Gundam X1 and Fubuki’s Exia as the first three RG models currently associated with the collaboration.

Their appearance also follows the start of pre-orders for the first confirmed premium figure releases from the project, with Sakura Miko’s pink Nu Gundam and Hoshimachi Suisei’s blue Sazabi being turned into METAL ROBOT SPIRITS figures that will be released in 2027.

The crossover is also due to include a wide range of other merchandise throughout the coming year, with versions of its customized mobile suits also appearing through lines including FW GUNDAM CONVERGE and MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE alongside character figures, apparel and other merchandise.

For now, Bandai are yet to announce prices, pre-order start dates or release dates for the RG Crossbone Gundam X1 [Houshou Marine Ver.], RG Gundam Exia [Shirakami Fubuki Ver.] or RG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 [hololive Production Ver.], though further information should arrive shortly now that the kits have been fully unveiled.
