Bandai Fully Reveals Digimon’s New MagnaGarurumon Model Kit Ahead of Release
Digimon Frontier’s MagnaGarurumon is finally joining Bandai’s Figure-rise Standard Amplified model kit series, bringing the heavily armed Warrior of Light to the lineup with a completely new sculpt and one huge combination gimmick.
The “Figure-rise Standard Amplified MagnaGarurumon” recreates the Digimon with the more mechanical proportions and extra detailing associated with the Amplified range, with the updated design handled by popular illustrator and regular Digimon collaborator As’ Maria.
MagnaGarurumon first appeared in the 2002 anime Digimon Frontier as Koji Minamoto’s Transcendent Spirit Evolution, combining the Human and Beast Spirits connected to the Warrior of Light with several additional Spirits to create one of the series’ most powerful forms.
Its new model kit keeps the character’s heavily armed appearance intact, covering the body with missile pods, thrusters, and large weapons while adding extra mechanical details throughout the armor.
The main Sniper Phantom rifle can be held using its secondary grip and positioned over MagnaGarurumon’s shoulder, recreating the long-range firing poses associated with the weapon.
Bandai has also included the Strike Phantom alongside two effect parts for the Magna Blade, giving the completed model several options beyond displaying it with the large rifle.
Articulation has been built around MagnaGarurumon’s bulky armor and equipment, allowing the completed kit to use more active poses despite the amount of weaponry attached across its body.
Bandai has also now revealed the finished box artwork, which shows MagnaGarurumon in a high-speed firing pose with the Sniper Phantom raised and its missile pods and thrusters deployed.
The biggest feature, however, requires another Figure-rise Standard Amplified kit.
MagnaGarurumon can be combined with the separately sold Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon using dedicated parts included with the new release, allowing both kits to be transformed into Susanoomon.
Susanoomon represents the combined power of the Legendary Warriors in Digimon Frontier and appears during the final stages of the anime, making the ability to physically combine the two model kits one of the most ambitious Digimon features Bandai has added to the Figure-rise Standard Amplified line.
The same two kits can also be rearranged to recreate Zero ARMS: Orochi, Susanoomon’s enormous weapon, with a dedicated effect part included for the finished display.
Other accessories include a complete action base, PET sheet, stickers and two types of jewel stickers, alongside the extra components needed for the Susanoomon transformation.
The release comes during a busy year for Digimon merchandise from Bandai, with the company bringing back the original anime-style Digivice through its new “Ver.REVIVAL” series during summer 2026.
That revival introduces new Taichi Yagami and Yamato Ishida color versions with more than 80 Digimon and expanded adventure content covering stories from Digimon Adventure through Last Evolution Kizuna.
Bandai has also continued expanding its Digimon Pendulum COLOR range this year, with the Iliad-themed CELESTIALWALKER and ASTRALSENTINEL devices receiving an official US release following their Japanese announcement in June.
The “Figure-rise Standard Amplified MagnaGarurumon” was originally expected earlier in 2026 before its release was delayed, but Bandai has now confirmed that the kit will officially arrive in Japan on September 19.
It will be priced at ¥6,600 (approximately $43 USD / £32 GBP), with the Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon required separately for the Susanoomon and Zero ARMS: Orochi combination features.
