Bandai and Sanrio reveal new My Melody and Kuromi themed Tamagotchi nano

A new version of the “Tamagotchi nano” handheld digital pet has been announced, this time featuring a collaboration with the popular Sanrio characters, My Melody and Kuromi.
The “Tamagotchi nano” is a smaller, more focused version of the classic virtual pet from Bandai.

This new product allows users to raise a standard Tamagotchi character, but with a special feature that incorporates the two famous Sanrio rivals.

During the game, My Melody and Kuromi will appear on screen to help the player care for their pet.

They will assist by bringing food, such as My Melody’s favorite almond pound cake or Kuromi’s favorite pickled shallots, and will also help with cleaning.

The game also includes three different mini-games for the player to enjoy with their pet.
These are “Piano Lesson,” “Shooting Star,” and “Balloon Making.”
The new collaboration is being released in two different physical versions, each with a unique shell design.
- My Melody & Kuromi Tamagotchi nano – My Melody ver.

This version features a cute, pink pearl-colored shell.

- My Melody & Kuromi Tamagotchi nano – Kuromi ver.

This version has a sparkly, clear purple shell design.

While the outer shells are different, the game program and content are identical in both versions.
This new release offers fans of the “MeloKuro” duo a new and interactive way to enjoy the characters.

The new “My Melody & Kuromi Tamagotchi nano” is priced at ¥2,860 (approx. $19 USD/£14 GBP).

It is scheduled to be released in Japan on Saturday, the 25th of October, 2025.
The “My Melody & Kuromi Tamagotchi nano” will also be released in international markets such as the U.S., however, no specific release date has been confirmed as yet.
