Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Pre-Orders Open Ahead of July Release

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is officially scheduled to launch on July 2, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The announcement was made on March 28, 2026, by publisher and developer Gameplay Group alongside partner PM Studios.

Pre-orders for the PC version are currently available, while console players can add the title to their wishlists on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store.

While a PlayStation 4 version was previously in development, the updated release plans indicate that the last-generation console version is no longer expected.

Players can choose between a Standard Edition for $29.99 or a Deluxe Edition for $49.99, both of which feature a base roster of 12 playable characters.

The Standard Edition includes access to Story Mode, Arcade Mode, Training Mode, Combo Trials, and various online lobbies for ranked or casual play.

The Deluxe Edition expands on this content with a digital art book, a music soundtrack, unique HUDs, and the Year 1 Pass, which adds five additional characters.

Those who pre-order the game will receive a Samurai Appa skin for support characters and exclusive character colors.

Gameplay Group founder Victor Lugo stated that the title focuses on responsiveness and competitive depth to suit the elemental mastery of the Avatar series.

The game features hand-drawn 2D animation designed to match the aesthetic of the original series and utilizes rollback netcode to ensure smooth online cross-play.

Additional features include a single-player campaign with an original narrative and a Flow System that emphasizes movement-centric combat.
