Arcade Skating Game Skatesterre Unveiled for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC

Publisher Headup Games and developer Goon Squad officially announced the upcoming release of the arcade skating game Skatesterre on June 6, 2026.
The title is scheduled to launch during the summer of 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via the Steam platform.
Taking inspiration from the classic skateboarding titles released during the early 2000s, the game emphasizes fast-paced action and a deep combo system.
Players will take on the role of Sterre Meijer, also known as Surfsterre, who is a prominent rising figure in the global Dutch skateboarding scene.
The gameplay encourages creativity through various environments including urban playgrounds, streets, and parks filled with ramps and rails.
Users can unlock a variety of fashion items and gear for the protagonist by completing specific mission objectives and high-score challenges.
The experience is complemented by a high-energy soundtrack featuring underground skate punk and skate rock tracks.
This announcement was part of the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2026, where the first official trailer for the project was revealed to the public.
