Animal Crossing and Baskin-Robbins Announce New Island-Inspired Ice Cream Collab

Baskin-Robbins has announced its first-ever collaboration with Nintendo’s Animal Crossing series, bringing a wide range of themed desserts, drinks, collectibles, and in-game experiences to fans this summer.

The campaign introduces an assortment of exclusive menu items inspired by the laid-back island life featured throughout the beloved game franchise.

Leading the lineup is a brand-new seasonal flavor called “Animal Crossing Summer Island Feast Ice Cream,” created to capture the atmosphere of a sunny island adventure and priced at ¥420 (approx. $3 USD/ £2 GBP).

The flavor combines green pear-flavored ice cream inspired by the island’s forests, beige apple-flavored sorbet representing sandy beaches, and pale blue salt ramune sorbet designed to evoke the surrounding ocean.

To add to the experience, the new flavor will include Baskin-Robbins’ first-ever fish-shaped candy, designed to resemble the fish silhouettes that players encounter while exploring rivers and seas within the game world.

Baskin-Robbins recommends pairing the new flavor with Musk Melon for an extra fruity combination or with the popular Popping Shower flavor for an even more refreshing summer-inspired treat.

Two exclusive Animal Crossing-themed double cups will be available during the campaign, with one design featuring Isabelle, Goldie, and a scenic island backdrop, while the second showcases numerous villagers alongside the island’s signature fruits, priced at ¥510 for a Small Double (approx. $4 USD/ £3 GBP) or ¥760 for a Regular Double (approx. $5 USD/ £4 GBP).

A premium “Nook Inc. Special Double Cup” will also be offered, featuring artwork of Tom Nook, Timmy, and Tommy, along with a decorative flag pick, priced at ¥680 for a Small Double (approx. $5 USD/ £3 GBP) or ¥930 for a Regular Double (approx. $6 USD/ £5 GBP).

The special set includes a detachable Timmy and Tommy spoon charm made from rubber material that can be attached to pens, pencil cases, pouches, and other everyday accessories.

Customers purchasing either of the collaboration double cup options will receive a special die-cut ice cream-shaped collaboration sticker while supplies last.

Beginning on July 1, a nationwide distribution of 310,000 stickers will be available before the promotion concludes once stock has been exhausted.

Animal Crossing-themed character displays will also decorate store ice cream showcases, featuring Isabelle alongside 31 different villagers throughout the campaign.

The “Present Box Single Sundae” transforms a floating balloon gift box into a dessert presentation featuring a small scoop of ice cream topped with whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, and item-themed chocolate decorations, priced at ¥820 (approx. $6 USD/ £4 GBP).

The sundae is further enhanced with decorative picks featuring Isabelle, K.K. Slider, and a large balloon.

The sundae will include one of three different chocolate item designs inspired by rewards found inside red balloons in the game.

After enjoying the dessert, the gift box-shaped container can be reused as a small storage case.

Fans looking for a larger dessert can choose the “Night Island Double Sundae,” which includes two small scoops of ice cream alongside whipped cream, star-shaped sugar candies, and chocolate decorations inspired by stars, crescent moons, and fossils, priced at ¥1,350 (approx. $9 USD/ £7 GBP).

The sundae also includes decorative picks featuring Blathers and Celeste’s museum, as well as a reusable Wisp-themed cooling pack complete with an adjustable band.

A refreshing beverage called “Gulliver’s Stranded Blue Soda” joins the lineup as a bright blue summer drink topped with a scoop of ice cream and decorated with a Gulliver character pick, priced at ¥620 (approx. $4 USD/ £3 GBP).

Its cup design highlights sea creatures that appear during July in the Northern Hemisphere, helping recreate the feeling of spending time by the ocean on a virtual island getaway.

For take-home options, the collaboration introduces a special Animal Crossing set that allows customers to select eight scoops of their preferred ice cream flavors, priced at ¥3,000 for Small scoops (approx. $21 USD/ £15 GBP) or ¥3,560 for Regular scoops (approx. $25 USD/ £18 GBP).

The package includes a Bell Bag-inspired lunch tote modeled after the in-game currency pouch, with a silver-coated interior designed to help maintain temperature.

The collaboration’s popular Variety Box also receives a complete Animal Crossing makeover, with special packaging decorated with island buildings and villagers, priced from ¥1,360 to ¥4,200 (approx. $9 USD/ £7 GBP to $29 USD/ £21 GBP) depending on size and scoop selection.

Depending on the selected size, customers may find references to locations such as Able Sisters, Nook’s Cranny, Resident Services, and resort-style facilities featured throughout the game world.

An Animal Crossing Ice Cream Cake rounds out the collection with a lively island scene featuring numerous villagers gathered together, priced at ¥3,900 (approx. $27 USD/ £20 GBP).

Green whipped cream representing forests and blue whipped cream symbolizing the sea are combined to create the island landscape, while fossil, Bell Bag, and leaf icon decorations are recreated using chocolate.

The cake itself combines the popular Popping Shower and Chocolate Chip flavors, while removable villager picks allow fans to customize their own island display.

Nintendo Store smartphone app users who purchase collaboration items and complete a GPS check-in at participating locations can receive a special original sticker while supplies last.

The campaign also extends into the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons through the creation of a dedicated in-game destination known as “Baskin-Robbins Island”.

Players visiting the island will discover themed shopping districts inspired by classic Baskin-Robbins stores, photo-friendly attractions, and a museum showcasing the brand’s history, including past employee uniforms.

The island will additionally offer downloadable fan items such as uchiwa fans featuring 31 different flavor designs, as well as historical uniform-themed custom designs.

Players can access the island through the dream address system after its public launch and will also be able to obtain the custom designs either directly from the island or through the Able Sisters design kiosk.

The Animal Crossing collaboration campaign runs from July 1 through July 31, 2026, while supplies last, at participating Baskin-Robbins locations across Japan.
