A week of big Gunpla news is coming from Bandai Spirits
The Hobby Division of Bandai Spirits has announced two major upcoming events that are set to reveal a wealth of new information for its popular “Gunpla” line of plastic models.
The first event is the “2nd Gunpla 45th Anniversary Special Broadcast.”
This livestream will be hosted by the actor Genki Okawa, alongside members of the Gunpla planning and development team.
The broadcast will provide new information on the various projects being held to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Gunpla brand.
It will also offer a look at the latest technology being used in the creation of the model kits.
A special giveaway campaign is also planned for viewers of the livestream.
Following this broadcast, a separate, large-scale reveal of new products is also scheduled.
This announcement will detail a lineup of new Gunpla and other plastic model kits that are planned for release between the winter of 2025 and the spring of 2026.
The company has noted that new products for its “30 MINUTES LABEL” of customizable model kits will be announced separately at a later date.
This series of back-to-back announcements promises to give fans a comprehensive look at the immediate future of the long-running and beloved hobby.
The “2nd Gunpla 45th Anniversary Special Broadcast” is scheduled to be streamed on Monday, the 25th of August, at 5:00 PM Japan Standard Time.
The new product information is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, the 27th of August.
