Ukiyo-e Immersive Art OSAKA 2026
Last Updated on March 5, 2026

The city of Osaka is preparing to host a major digital art exhibition that will transform traditional Japanese woodblock prints into a modern sensory experience.
Located at the Grand Front Osaka North Building, the event will feature more than 300 ukiyo-e masterpieces from legendary artists including Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige.
Advanced 3DCG animation and high-definition projection mapping will be used to bring these historic works to life in a three-dimensional format across ten different themed areas.
Attendees can expect an interactive environment that blends digital innovation with historical education, as the exhibition also includes physical prints and insights into the culture of the Edo period.
Photography will be permitted throughout the venue, allowing visitors to capture the vibrant displays and immersive installations.
The venue is conveniently located with direct access from JR Osaka Station, making it easily accessible for local residents and tourists alike.
Organizers expect to release official ticketing details and pricing in the coming months via the event’s primary website.
This presentation follows successful runs in Tokyo and Fukuoka, marking a significant addition to the cultural calendar for the Kansai region.
