The Tokyo Indie Games Summit is set to return to the Kichijoji area, continuing its mission to serve as a central hub for independent game creators and their fans.
Since its inception in 2023, the event has focused on fostering collaboration and providing a dedicated space where the creativity of indie developers can be showcased to the local community and international visitors alike.
Building on the success of previous years, which saw over 9,000 attendees in 2024, the upcoming third edition plans to expand its venue space to enhance the overall experience for all participants.
The summit will be split into two distinct days, featuring a business-oriented session for industry professionals to utilize a strengthened matching system and a public day for gaming enthusiasts to explore new titles.
Organizers are deepening the event’s connection with Kichijoji by integrating local cultural elements such as music and anime into the festivities, creating a unique synergy between local traditions and global gaming trends.
The primary activities will be centered at the Musashino Public Hall and the Kichijoji Tokyu REI Hotel, with additional sub-venues including Kichijoji Marui and the historic Harmonica Alley.
Attendees can easily access the festival grounds as the main locations are situated just a two-minute walk from Kichijoji Station, which is served by the Chuo, Chuo-Sobu, and Keio Inokashira lines.
