Hitsujigaoka Snow Park 2026

Last Updated on March 5, 2026

The Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill is preparing to host the annual Hitsujigaoka Snow Park event which offers a variety of winter activities for families visiting Hokkaido.

Originally established in 2004, this seasonal celebration has become a staple for locals and tourists seeking to engage with the region’s famous powder snow through interactive experiences.

The park will feature an expansive 80-meter long snow tubing course and a dedicated area for ski walking to allow guests to explore the wintry landscape at a leisurely pace.

Younger children between the ages of 2 and 5 can participate by using pedal-free snow strider bikes in specialized riding areas designed for safety and fun.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage in traditional winter pastimes such as building snowmen and sledding across the scenic grounds of the observation hill.

A major draw for this event is that all activities and necessary equipment rentals are provided free of charge to ensure an accessible day of entertainment for all guests.

The venue is situated at the Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill and is reachable via a ten minute bus ride on the number 84 bus from Fukuzumi Station on the Toho Line.

For those planning to arrive by private vehicle, the organizers provide free on-site parking to accommodate the expected influx of winter enthusiasts.
