Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG reveals first ever full art cards and new serial number rares

Konami has officially opened the lottery sales for two upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game booster packs titled “LIMIT OVER COLLECTION -THE HEROES-” and “LIMIT OVER COLLECTION -THE RIVALS-“.
These “festival packs” are designed to celebrate the rich history of the anime franchise by focusing on its iconic protagonists and their fierce rivals.

The sets feature legendary ace monsters reimagined with brand-new abilities and updated artwork.
Long-awaited cards from the anime series that have never been printed before will finally make their OCG debut in these collections.
A major aesthetic update introduced in these packs is the “Overframe” card design, which is the first appearance of “full art” style cards in the OCG.

This new layout features dynamic illustrations that appear to break out of the traditional card border, creating a 3D effect.
Collectors can also hunt for the prestigious new “Grandmaster Rare” rarity.
These extremely exclusive cards feature unique serial numbers ranging from 1 to 100, making them highly sought-after items for investors and fans.

The “THE HEROES” set highlights the main characters of the franchise with a powerful lineup.
Revealed Overframe cards for this set include:
- King’s Servant – Dark Magician

- Stardust Dragon – Victim Sanctuary

- Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman

- Number 39: Messenger of Light – Utopia

- Four Heavens Dragon Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon

- Decode Talker Integration

For cards making their OCG debut in the Heroes pack, fans can expect “Underworld Circle” and “Great Spirit Machine Army – Pendulum Ruler.”

The “THE RIVALS” set focuses on the competitors who challenged the protagonists, featuring their own formidable aces.
Overframe cards in this set include:
- White Phantom Beast – Blue-Eyes White Dragon

- Red Dragon Quetzalcoatl

- Final Attack Dragon – Cyber End Dragon

- Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon – Photon Howling

- Four Heavens Dragon Starve Venom Fusion Dragon

Debut cards for the Rivals set include “Gatling Ogre” and “Infernity Death Gunman.”

In addition to the serious competitive cards, both sets will include reprints featuring cute “deformed” (chibi) style illustrations.

This wave of Yu-Gi-Oh! merchandise complements other recent announcements regarding the franchise.
U-TREASURE recently revealed a collaboration based on Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, offering silver rings inspired by Team Satisfaction.

These rings feature motifs for Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlas, whose dragons are also featured in these new card packs.

Konami is offering a purchase bonus for customers who buy these new packs in bulk.
Those who purchase a 3-BOX set will receive a “Limit Over Special Pack” (Vol.1 for Heroes, Vol.2 for Rivals).

The lottery application period is currently open on Konami Style and runs from December 22 through January 26 at 23:59 JST.
Winners are scheduled to be announced starting February 3.
