Xbox Developer Direct ’26 to Feature Fable, Forza Horizon 6, and a New Game Freak Title
Microsoft has officially announced that it will host the “Xbox Developer_Direct ’26” broadcast on January 22.
The digital showcase is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (1:00 p.m. Eastern Time).
Players across PC and the Xbox Series family of consoles will be able to stream the event on the official YouTube and Twitch channels.
The presentation is set to feature in-depth looks at three major upcoming titles.
The highly anticipated “Fable”, one of 2026’s most sought-after games, is slated to receive its first extensive reveal.
Developer Playground Games will welcome players back to the classic fairytale land of Albion.
The development team is expected to unveil the magic and mischief that awaits in this fresh new beginning for the long-running fantasy franchise.
The segment will include a first look at new gameplay footage.
Developers confirm that the core themes of the series will remain intact, including choice, consequence, drama, action, British humor, and a focus on chickens, all reimagined for existing fans and new players.
Playground Games will also be sharing a deep-dive on the next installment of their open-world racing series, “Forza Horizon 6”.
The critically acclaimed franchise is taking players to the beautiful and contrasting landscapes of Japan.
The Forza team will provide a comprehensive look, including a very first showcase of gameplay, revealing new features, and detailing how the unique environments of Japan are brought to life in this new release.
Rounding out the featured lineup is “Beast of Reincarnation”, an intense one-person, one-dog action RPG from Game Freak.
The studio, known for developing the “Pokémon” series, will reveal key development information during the Developer_Direct.
For the first time, Game Freak will detail the protagonist Emma’s innovative plant manipulation actions and the gameplay mechanics involving her canine companion, Koo.
The adventure unfolds in a dangerous post-apocalyptic Japan, providing a stark contrast to the studio’s other projects.
