War Of The Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Ending Japanese Service on May 28

Publisher Square Enix and developer gumi have officially announced that the Japanese version of War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius will end service on May 28, 2026.
The tactical mobile RPG first debuted in Japan on November 14, 2019, followed by a worldwide launch on March 25, 2020.
This announcement follows the closure of the global version of the game, which ceased operations on May 30, 2025.
Producer Watanabe explained that while the development team considered creating an offline version to preserve the title, the project was deemed too difficult to implement.
The decision to forgo an offline mode stems from the game’s heavy reliance on real-time features, including online battles, guild content, and player interaction.
Square Enix intends to honor the game’s legacy by releasing special videos that revisit the narrative and producing a physical memorial book for fans.
In-game events are scheduled to continue with regular updates until the final day of service on May 28, 2026.
Players can access a dedicated website to view the grand finale roadmap and stay informed about the concluding activities.
