VTuber Ouro Kronii is the star of holo Indie’s new 2D side-scrolling action game
A new 2D side-scrolling action game starring hololive VTuber Ouro Kronii has officially been released.
“Chrono Gear: Warden of Time” is the latest release from “holo Indie,” a brand from Cover Corporation that officially supports and publishes high-quality, fan-made games based on its hololive VTuber properties.
The new game was developed by Team Chrono Gear and GalaxyTrail, and players take on the role of Kronii, the “Warden of Time,” who has the ability to speed up and slow down time.
This time-manipulation mechanic is the core of the gameplay, and it must be used to solve stage gimmicks and defeat powerful bosses.
The game’s story sees Kronii on a quest to find the scattered pieces of a powerful artifact, the “Chrono Gear,” in order to repair the timeline.
The game features three different difficulty levels, as well as a time attack mode, a high-score mode, and other exploration elements.
It also includes a soundtrack with over a dozen remixed songs.
The developers have also stated that the game is filled with a variety of references and in-jokes that will be appreciated by Hololive fans.
“Chrono Gear: Warden of Time” was released for PC on the Steam platform on Friday, the 12th of September.
The standard price for the game is ¥1,800 (approx. $12 USD/£9 GBP, price may vary by region), but it is currently available for a 20% discount in a launch sale that will run until the 19th of September, 2025.
