VShojo CEO admits to spending charity money and officially confirms agency shutdown

The Chief Executive Officer of VShojo, Justin “Gunrun” Ignacio, has issued a statement confirming the complete shutdown of the VTuber agency.
The announcement comes following several days of silence from the company after Ironmouse publicly departed and accused the agency of withholding over half a million dollars in charity funds.

In the statement, Ignacio admitted to severe financial mismanagement, confirming that money earned by the company’s performers, including the funds raised by Ironmouse for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, was used to cover company operational costs.
Ignacio stated, “I take full responsibility for the decisions that led us to this point.”
His confession confirms the core of the allegations that led to the agency’s swift and total collapse over the course of the week.
The crisis began on Monday when Ironmouse announced her exit and the missing charity funds, a situation that was immediately compounded when fellow top talent Kson also departed, alleging she was owed a significant amount of unpaid earnings.

In the 48 hours that followed, the entire remaining roster of VShojo talents publicly announced their own departures, effectively dissolving the agency’s lineup.
In his statement, Ignacio revealed that the company’s financial issues had been ongoing for months.
He noted that after raising an initial $11 million, the company had been “unsuccessful” in its efforts to raise additional investment capital to cover its high operational costs.

This led to the decision to use funds that were owed to the agency’s talent and to charities to keep the company running.
The statement serves as a final chapter for VShojo, which first launched in November of 2020 with a “talent-first” philosophy and grew to become one of the most prominent agencies in the English-speaking VTuber space.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the controversy, the independent charity drive started by Ironmouse to benefit the Immune Deficiency Foundation has been a massive success.

As of the latest reports, her new Tiltify campaign has raised over $1.2 million.
