Ukiyo-e master Hokusai is the focus of BANDAI SPIRITS latest prize lottery

Bandai Spirits’ popular Ichiban Kuji lottery is releasing a new collection celebrating the iconic Japanese ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai.

This unique prize lottery, titled “Ichiban Kuji – Katsushika Hokusai,” offers fans a chance to win exclusive merchandise inspired by the master’s timeless works.

The collection is designed to bring Hokusai’s art into everyday life with an offering of beautiful useful items.

Ichiban Kuji is a popular Japanese lottery system where participants purchase a ticket at a set price, and each ticket guarantees a prize.

The prizes range from larger collectible figures and goods, to smaller accessories and items, ensuring every participant walks away with a prize.

There’s also often a “Last One Prize” for the person who buys the very last ticket, and a “Double Chance Campaign” for additional opportunities to win.

    • A ceramic plate (approx.18.5cm) adorned with Hokusai’s “Anko-zu”, a realistic depiction of an anglerfish.

As part of a “double chance campaign” players can enter a code found on their Kuji ticket into a lottery via the official website, giving them a chance to win one of 10 “The Great Wave off Kanagawa Postcard Stand Diorama” in an alternative ink inspired colorway.

The prize lottery will go on sale June 6th, 2025, and tickets will be available for 750 yen (tax included) per draw.

Fans can participate at various locations, including convenience stores, hobby shops, and official Ichiban Kuji shops nationwide, as well as via the Ichiban Kuji ONLINE platform.
