Udon Chain’s New Dragon Ball Z Collab Menu Serves Up Tempura Senzu Beans and Dragon Ball Donuts

An upcoming collaboration has been announced by the Japanese restaurant chain Marugame Udon featuring the legendary Dragon Ball Z anime franchise.
This dynamic partnership invites diners to channel their inner Saiyan with massive themed rice balls, gather all seven dragon balls in the form of sweet donuts, and collect a variety of exclusive character goods.

Dragon Ball Z is a globally celebrated animated series based on the classic manga created by Akira Toriyama.
The story follows the martial artist Goku and his friends as they defend the Earth against incredibly powerful intergalactic villains.

The franchise has remained a staple of pop culture for decades, inspiring countless generations with its high-energy battles and themes of friendship and perseverance.
Marugame Udon is a highly successful restaurant brand specializing in authentic Sanuki-style udon noodles.

The company prides itself on serving freshly prepared, chewy noodles and a wide variety of crispy tempura side dishes.
The brand operates hundreds of storefronts, bringing the traditional taste of Kagawa Prefecture to cities all around the world.

These chewy donuts are made with a special carrot paste and coated in rich chocolate.
The set includes seven pieces and comes with star-shaped sugar candies so fans can recreate the iconic wish-granting orbs.
- Senzu Bean Style Tempura
- Price: 290 yen (approx. $2 USD / £1 GBP).

This edamame tempura is inspired by the mystical healing beans frequently eaten by the heroes in the series.
It serves as a perfect bite-sized snack for both children and adults.
- Genki Dama Rice Ball with Soft-Boiled Egg
- Price: 420 yen (approx. $3 USD / £2 GBP).

Inspired by Goku’s massive Spirit Bomb attack, this is one of the largest rice balls ever offered by the restaurant.
It features a soft-boiled egg wrapped in white rice, coated in sesame seeds, and deep-fried in a crispy tempura batter.
Customers who purchase a bowl of udon during the event will receive a special Udon Card featuring popular characters and memorable scenes.

There are 32 different card designs to collect, including two secret variations.

Fans can also earn exclusive clear stickers and decorative food picks by purchasing specific collaboration menu combinations.


A special receipt lottery will give diners the chance to win limited merchandise, such as themed tote bags and wooden udon serving buckets.


The Shinjuku Gyoemmae location in Tokyo will be transformed into a special pop-up restaurant with unique exterior and interior decorations celebrating the anime.


This promotional event will take place at participating Marugame Udon locations nationwide in Japan.

The crossover is scheduled to run from Tuesday, March 3, 2026, until Monday, April 6, 2026.
