Truxton Extreme Launches on Console and PC This July

Publisher Clear River Games and developer Tatsujin have officially announced that the shoot ’em up revival Truxton Extreme is scheduled to launch on July 30, 2026.

The game will be available across multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, PC via Steam and GOG, and the newly revealed versions for Xbox Series and Switch 2.

Digital consumers can choose between a standard edition priced at $24.99 and a deluxe digital edition for $29.99.

Physical collectors will have options at $39.99 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, while the Switch 2 physical edition is set at a higher price point of $49.99.

This modern entry preserves the iconic design of the 1980s original while moving to a fully rendered 3D visual style.

Original composer Masahiro Yuge returns to provide an explosive new score that blends reimagined classic tracks with entirely new compositions.

Players can engage with a Story mode featuring three characters and animated manga sequences, or opt for a traditional Arcade experience.

The title also includes a Team mode for cooperative play with shared lives, an Arena score-attack mode, and a Model Viewer for unlocking bonus content.

Truxton Extreme aims to deliver high-intensity action for both series veterans and newcomers when it arrives this summer on July 30, 2026.
