Transform into a Zaku II with COSPA’s latest Gundam hoodie

COSPA has announced a new piece of high-end apparel inspired by the classic anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam.
The new product is a “Zaku II Hoodie,” a hooded sweatshirt designed to allow the wearer to resemble the iconic enemy mobile suit.

The MS-06 Zaku II is the workhorse mobile suit of the Principality of Zeon from the original 1979 series.
Its single, glowing mono-eye and distinctive green armor have made it one of the most recognizable mecha designs in all of Japanese animation, rivaling even the Gundam itself in popularity.

This new hoodie from COSPA translates the Zaku’s key features into a usable piece of clothing.
The most prominent feature is the hood, which has been three-dimensionally constructed to mimic the shape of the Zaku II’s head.

The front of the hoodie features a color-blocked panel design that replicates the look of the mobile suit’s upper torso.

Further details include a print of the Principality of Zeon’s emblem and the Zaku’s official model number, “MS-06,” on the right sleeve.

The hoodie is designed to be a functional piece of clothing when the hood is down, but effectively becomes a cosplay item when the hood is worn up.

COSPA emphasizes that the garment is a high-quality product, with both the fabric and the sewing done entirely in Japan.
It is made from a heavy yet soft 100% cotton French terry fabric and features a relaxed, comfortable silhouette with highly elastic ribbed cuffs and hem.

The hoodie also includes discreet seam pockets at the waist.

A development sample of the new hoodie will be put on display at the upcoming “Wonder Festival 2025 [Summer]” event.

This will give fans a chance to see the product in person at the COSPA booth.

The “Zaku II Hoodie” is priced at 19,800 yen (approx. $28.07 USD / £ 20.97 GBP) and will be available in sizes M, L, and XL.
Pre-orders can be placed on the COSPA website, and shipping to customers is expected to commence in early November 2025.
The new hoodie shares several aesthetic similarities with STRICT-G’s Zeon military-themed Gundam T-shirt collection announced earlier this year and would work well when paired with one of those shirts.
