Tokyo’s new One Piece store will have shopping baskets shaped like the Thousand Sunny
One of the most unique and charming items has been revealed from the upcoming, official flagship store for the One Piece franchise, the “ONE PIECE BASE SHOP.”
The new “ONE PIECE PIRATE SHIP BASKET” is a shopping basket that is designed to look exactly like the Straw Hat Pirates’ iconic ship, the Thousand Sunny.
This unique item serves a dual purpose.
It is the actual, functional shopping basket that will be used by customers as they explore the massive, new “experiential retail facility.”
However, it will also be available for purchase as an exclusive product, allowing fans to take a piece of the store’s unique experience home with them.
The basket is a large, approximately 45-centimeter long replica of the famous ship.
This unique item is just one of many exclusive products and experiences that will be available at the new store.
The “ONE PIECE BASE SHOP” is a massive, 1,185-square-meter facility that will occupy the entire fourth floor of the Shinjuku Marui Main Building in Tokyo.
The store will feature a number of unique, hands-on experiences, such as a “ONE PIECE ORIGINAL T-SHIRT PRINT” corner for creating custom T-shirts, and a “ONE PIECE PLAY GROVE” with exclusive crane games and a giant Gashapon machine.
A huge lineup of approximately 800 different items will be available at launch, with around 500 of them being new, original products exclusive to this store.
The “ONE PIECE PIRATE SHIP BASKET” is priced at ¥5,500 (approx. $37 USD / £30 GBP).
The “ONE PIECE BASE SHOP” is scheduled to have its grand opening in about two months, on Friday, the 5th of December.
