The Witch from Mercury’s Gundam Calibarn joins the GUNDAM UNIVERSE line
Bandai Spirits has announced that the “GUNDAM UNIVERSE X-EX01 GUNDAM CALIBARN” will be joining its popular 6-inch action figure series.
This figure is based on the mobile suit piloted by protagonist Suletta Mercury in the climax of the hit TV anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury.
The GUNDAM UNIVERSE line is known for balancing affordable pricing with durable construction and dynamic, bold styling that differs from the high-end collector lines.
This new figure captures the distinct look of the Calibarn, featuring a white base color accented with blue and gray, and sharp, intersecting lines.
The figure stands approximately 15cm tall and is made from robust ABS and PVC materials, giving it a sense of density despite its compact size.
A major highlight of the release is the inclusion of the “Variable Rod Rifle,” the mobile suit’s symbolic weapon, which has been rearranged to fit the series’ format while maintaining a sharp silhouette.
The figure also features a wide range of motion in the key joints, such as the waist, shoulders, and legs, allowing for dynamic posing.
It comes packaged with interchangeable weapon-holding hands (left and right) and a joint for use with a Tamashii STAGE stand.
This announcement adds to a rapidly expanding lineup for the GUNDAM UNIVERSE brand.
Bandai Spirits also recently announced the “GUNDAM UNIVERSE Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam” from the movie Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, as well as the rival suit “GUNDAM UNIVERSE MSN-06S SINANJU” from Mobile Suit Gundam UC.
The “GUNDAM UNIVERSE X-EX01 GUNDAM CALIBARN” is priced at 3,300 yen (approx. $21.57 USD / £17.06 GBP).
The figure is scheduled to be released on May 25.
