The Sinking City 2 Scheduled for August 18 Release

Developer Frogwares has officially announced that The Sinking City 2, the highly anticipated sequel to their Lovecraftian survival horror title, is set to launch on August 18, 2026.
The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through major storefronts including Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
Alongside the release date reveal on June 6, 2026, a one-hour playable demo was made immediately available for PC players via Steam.
This demo allows players to experience the opening hour of the game and introduces the new protagonist, an occult adventurer named Calvin Rafferty.
The story follows Rafferty as he enters the flooded, monster-infested city of Arkham in a desperate attempt to save his girlfriend, Faye, who is trapped in a supernatural slumber.
Players will navigate the 1920s-inspired decaying city by foot and by boat while utilizing an arsenal of period-accurate firearms and melee weapons to survive.
The development of the project has been notably impacted by the ongoing war in Ukraine, forcing the team at Frogwares to overcome challenges such as power outages and air raid alerts.
Sergiy Oganesyan, the head of publishing at Frogwares, noted that the team had to constantly adapt their plans and schedules to manage the immense chaos and unpredictability of working in a conflict zone.
Despite these hardships, the studio expressed pride in reaching this milestone and bringing the game toward its final release on August 18, 2026.
Key features of the sequel include deep investigation mechanics that allow players to solve optional cases to uncover lore and character upgrades.
