The legendary Narita Brian makes her debut in Uma Musume Pretty Derby
A new “Spotlight Scout” has begun in the popular mobile game Uma Musume Pretty Derby, featuring the debut of a new playable horse girl and new support cards.
The new gacha banner, which began on Wednesday, the 20th of August, offers players an increased chance of obtaining the new characters.
The highlight of this new release is the debut of the 3-star horse girl, “[Maverick] Narita Brian.”
Narita Brian is a famous and historically significant character in the franchise, based on the real-life Triple Crown-winning racehorse of the same name.
Players who successfully scout the new Narita Brian during the spotlight period will also receive a bonus of 90 of her Star Pieces.
The new gacha banner also introduces a new set of support cards for players to collect.
The new cards are:
- SSR [Peak Sakura Season] Sakura Chiyono O
- SR [The World’s My Oyster] Seeking the Pearl
- R [Tracen Academy] Sakura Chiyono O
- R [Tracen Academy] Seeking the Pearl
To celebrate the debut of the new character, a special “Umamusume Story Sneak Peek” event is also being held.
For a limited time, the first four episodes of Narita Brian’s personal in-game story will be fully unlocked for all players to watch.
This allows everyone to experience her story, even if they have not yet successfully scouted her.
Players who watch the story chapters during this period will still receive the standard in-game currency and experience rewards.
Both the “Spotlight Scout” and the “Story Sneak Peek” are scheduled to run until 9:59 PM UTC on Sunday, the 31st of August, 2025.
