The Demon Girl Next Door Mini Exhibition Brings New Life-Size Figures to Yokohama
Fans of The Demon Girl Next Door are getting another chance to celebrate, as the “Machikado Mazoku Double Aniversary Exhibition Mini ~The Path of the Witches~” has been announced for this November.
The event, which will be held at Marui City Yokohama, is a follow-up to the previous “Dabuani” exhibition and will feature returning exhibits alongside several brand-new attractions, including new life-size figures and an immersive VR corner.
Event Overview
This “mini” exhibition will bring back some of the most popular displays from the previous anniversary event, but with significant new additions.
Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, new life-size figures of Chiyoda Momo and Hinatsugi Mikan will make their debut, joining the returning figure of Shamiko.
The event will also expand on the popular birthday costume illustrations designed by series creator Izumo Ito.
New art for Momo, Lilith, Mikan, and Riko will be added to the collection and displayed as life-size panels.
A major new attraction is the VR corner, which evolves the “Amazing Video Corner” from the last exhibition.
Using VR goggles, visitors can experience an immersive and powerful interaction with 3D models of Shamiko and Momo, complete with songs and dances.
An audio guide, with content fully supervised by Izumo Ito and featuring the same recordings as the previous exhibition, will be available.
A stamp rally will also return, using the same stamp designs but on a newly designed backing card.
Merchandise
A dedicated merchandise area on the 4th floor will sell new products featuring the newly drawn illustrations.
Entry to the merchandise area on the opening weekend (Nov 14-16) and the following weekend (Nov 22-24) will require a “Merchandise Area Priority Admission Ticket,” which is provided to those who purchase an “Exhibition Area Admission Ticket.”
On all other days, the merchandise area will be open to all from 3:00 PM.
Purchase limits will be in effect, generally limited to five of each item per person (or 100 per person for the trading card collection).
Purchase Bonus
Several bonuses are available to attendees.
- Venue Admission Bonus: Visitors to the “Exhibition Area” will receive one random “admission ticket-style bonus” (5 types total).
- Visitors to the “VR Area” will receive one random “Admission Bonus Illustration Card” (5 types total).
- Merchandise Purchase Bonus: For every ¥3,000 (tax included) spent on event merchandise, customers will receive one random bonus illustration card (6 types total).
- High-Value Purchase Bonus: Customers who spend ¥10,000 (tax included) will receive an exclusive original shopper bag.
- They will also receive one entry ticket for a lottery to win one of the life-size birthday illustration panels displayed at the event.
- Epos Card Benefits: Customers who pay with an Epos card will receive an additional bonus illustration card. Those who sign up for a new Epos card at the venue will receive a complete set of all six bonus illustration cards.
Admission
Admission requires a paid ticket.
The “Exhibition Area” costs ¥1,200 for an advance ticket or ¥1,500 for a same-day ticket.
The “VR Area” costs ¥2,000 for an advance ticket or ¥2,200 for a same-day ticket.
