The Apothecary Diaries’ Jinshi Set for Return to Good Smile’s Nendoroid Series
A new Nendoroid figure of Jinshi, the deuteragonist of the mystery hit The Apothecary Diaries, has been announced.
It was revealed during the “Nendoroid FUNS 2026 Winter” online presentation on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
This announcement presents a new variation of the character, depicting him in full ceremonial armor rather than his typical court robes.
The Apothecary Diaries, set in a fictionalized version of Imperial China, follows Maomao, an apothecary’s daughter who is kidnapped and sold into service at the rear palace.
Jinshi is introduced as a beautiful and influential eunuch who manages the inner palace, often employing Maomao to solve mysteries surrounding poisons and medical anomalies.
However, beneath his guise as a eunuch, he holds a secret lineage of immense importance to the Imperial family, a burden that occasionally requires him to don military or ceremonial attire for official duties.
The “Armor Ver.” is based on scenes towards the end of Season 2, whereby Jinshi takes command of the Imperial Guard in battle.
This figure is expected to capture the intricate details of his plated armor and helmet, offering a stark contrast to the flowing robes of his previous Nendoroid release.
Fans will anticipate accessories that reflect this more serious side of his character, such as a sword or perhaps a face plate showing a commanding expression that he rarely shows to Maomao.
This reveal complements the strong lineup of anime and manga characters shown at the event.
It joins the recently announced “Nendoroid Doma” from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and “Nendoroid Maki Zen’in: Execution Ver. [Basic]” from Jujutsu Kaisen.
The event also featured major reveals for game franchises, including the Wuthering Waves duo of Jinhsi and Changli, and the Silent Hill f figures of Hinako Shimizu and the Fox Mask.
The “Nendoroid Jinshi: Armor Ver.” does not yet have a confirmed price or release date.
Information regarding the release schedule will be announced at a later date by Good Smile Company.
It will be available via the Good Smile Company Official Shop, as well as participating partner shops, such as HobbyLink Japan.
