The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Confirms Second Season April Premiere with New Key Visual
The highly anticipated second season of the television anime adaptation of Saekisan’s popular light novel series, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken), has officially been scheduled to premiere on April 3.
The announcement was made during the recent GA FES 2026 livestream event, where a new key visual was also unveiled to fans.
The romantic comedy follows the relationship between Amane Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina, his next-door neighbor who is regarded as the most beautiful girl in school.
Their connection begins unexpectedly when Amane assists Mahiru on a rainy day, prompting her to offer him help around his apartment, which slowly causes their relationship to blossom.
The original light novel series, first serialized online in 2018, is published in print by SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint with illustrations by Hanekoto, and is available in English through Yen Press.
The franchise also includes a manga adaptation by Suzu Yūki, which is licensed by Square Enix Manga & Books.
The second season will be broadcast in Japan starting on the Tokyo MX channel at 10:30 p.m. JST on April 3.
Following this, it will air on BS NTV, with the premiere scheduled for 24:00 JST on April 4, which is effectively 12 midnight JST on April 5.
Production studio project No.9, which handled the first season that premiered in January 2023 and was streamed by Crunchyroll, is returning.
However, a change in directorship has been announced, with Chihiro Kumano, who has experience with titles like The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei, taking over from Li Hua Wang.
The rest of the key production team is set to maintain continuity.
Keiichirō Ōchi, known for his work on Adachi and Shimamura and The Quintessential Quintuplets, is returning to oversee the series scripts.
Takayuki Noguchi, whose credits include Queen’s Blade: Rebellion, is once again adapting Hanekoto’s original character designs for animation.
The score will be composed by Moe Hyūga, who also worked on titles such as Steins;Gate 0.
The main voice cast members are set to reprise their roles, including Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya, Manaka Iwami as Mahiru Shiina, Taku Yashiro as Itsuki Akasawa, and Haruka Shiraishi as Chitose Shirakawa.
