The 1/1 scale replica of Char Aznable’s helmet is getting a re-release

A lottery-based re-sale will be held for a life-sized replica of the helmet of one of the Gundam series’ most iconic characters, Char Aznable.
The “Full Scale Works Mobile Suit Gundam Char Aznable Stahlhelm” is a full-scale, 1/1 replica of the iconic helmet worn by the legendary “Red Comet,” Char Aznable, from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series.

The item was originally released to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the franchise and was a highly sought-after collectible.

This “Full Scale Works” replica is a wearable helmet, standing at an impressive height of approximately 30 centimeters.

It was created using a completely new mold, designed to be both lightweight and to feature sharp, realistically defined edges.

The visor of the helmet uses a “magic mirror” sheet, which maintains the helmet’s solid look from the outside while ensuring the wearer has a clear field of view from within.

A dedicated display stand is also included with the helmet, making it a perfect centerpiece for any collection.

This re-release offers a new opportunity for fans to own a piece of Gundam history, suitable for events, cosplay, or simply display.

The re-sale is being conducted via a lottery system, where interested buyers must apply for a chance to purchase the item.
Applications are being accepted through the “Megatrea Shop” on the Premium Bandai website, with the price for the helmet confirmed as ¥27,500 (approx. $187 USD/£140 GBP).
The application period for the lottery opened on Tuesday, the 5th of August, and will run until 11:00 PM, Japan Standard Time, on the 18th of August, 2025.
Winners of the lottery are scheduled to be announced on the 19th of August, 2025.
