The 08th MS Team Set to Star in Gundam Card Game’s New Blazing Fist [GD07] Booster

Blazing Fist [GD07] is set to continue the Gundam Card Game’s expansion in early 2027, with Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team currently confirmed as the first featured series in the booster.
Set during the One Year War, Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team follows Federation officer Shiro Amada after he is assigned to command a mobile suit unit fighting on Earth’s Far Eastern front, where his growing connection with Zeon pilot Aina Sahalin complicates an already dangerous conflict.

The series takes a more grounded approach to the Universal Century than many other Gundam stories, focusing on ordinary soldiers, difficult terrain and close-range battles rather than placing its cast at the center of a much larger space war.

Its inclusion gives Blazing Fist access to a memorable selection of Federation and Zeon pilots, supporting crew members and mobile suits, with machines associated with the story including the Gundam Ground Type, Gundam Ez8 and Gouf Custom.

Bandai has not yet published the complete card list, rarity breakdown or alternate-art selection, while Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team remains the only featured series revealed so far.

This leaves plenty still to be detailed ahead of launch, including whether other Gundam series will join the expansion and how The 08th MS Team cards will affect existing deck-building options.

Each Blazing Fist booster pack will contain 12 cards, matching the format used for the English-language edition of the Gundam Card Game.
Blazing Fist [GD07] is expected to be priced at $4.99 per booster pack (approx. $4.99 USD / £3.75 GBP) and will be available through reputable hobby stores and trading card game retailers, although Bandai has not yet published an official US MSRP for the set.

Blazing Fist [GD07] is scheduled to release in the US on January 29, 2027, with current UK and European retailer listings also using January 29, while Bandai’s schedule for participating Asian markets places the release on January 30, 2027.
