Tamagotchi-Themed Illumination Event Coming to Lake Sagami MORI MORI
Lake Sagami MORI MORI, the adventure resort just outside Tokyo, is launching its 17th annual “Lake Sagami Illumination” on Saturday, November 15th.
This year, the Kanto region’s largest light display, featuring 6 million bulbs, will host a special collaboration with the beloved digital pet from Bandai, Tamagotchi.
The new highlight area is titled, “Discovered at Lake Sagami! Tamagotchi’s Sparkling Illuminations!”
Event Overview
The new Tamagotchi-themed area will be accessible via a rainbow-colored lift, transporting guests into the quirky and exciting world of the digital pets.
A key highlight will be a special photo spot where visitors can sit with illuminated figures of Mametchi and Kuchipatchi, set against a backdrop of a sparkling Ferris wheel and moving stars.
Other story-filled displays will include “Minna Shugo! Sparkling Illumination,” featuring a large gathering of Tamagotchi characters, and an object recreating the Tamagotchi UFO.
The “Blue Sky Pedal” attraction, which opened in September, will be temporarily renamed the “Tamagotchi Starry Sky Pedal” during the illumination, offering a special ride through the lights.
A lighting ceremony to kick off the season will be held on the opening day, November 15th. Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, and other characters are scheduled to appear, with further details to be announced on the official website.
Merchandise
Over 10 limited-edition collaboration goods featuring original illustrations of Tamagotchis enjoying the amusement park will be available for sale.
Announced items include blind-box acrylic keychains and flake stickers.
Menu
A wide selection of collaboration menu items will be offered, including a plate featuring various Tamagotchis, as well as sweets and hot soups.
Purchase Bonus
Customers who order collaboration food and drinks will receive limited-edition placemats (two designs) and coasters (six designs) as free gifts.
