Take a look at the new McDonald’s Japan Pokémon Happy Meal toys

McDonald’s Japan has announced the details of its next “Happy Set” promotion, which will feature a new collection of toys based on the Pokémon franchise.
The new campaign will offer a total of nine different toys, released in phases over a period of approximately three weeks.
Collaborations between McDonald’s and Pokémon are a long-standing and popular tradition in Japan, with new toy lines often released to coincide with new games or movies.

This new collection features a variety of interactive toys, including spinning tops and launchers, themed around popular Pokémon.
The lineup includes classic characters like Pikachu and Eevee, but also incorporates the “Mega Evolution” mechanic, which is a key feature of the upcoming game, Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A.
The toys will be released in three phases, with the full lineup as follows:
Phase 1 (August 8th – August 14th)
- Pikachu’s Tail-Wagging Dash

- Charmander’s Spinning Top

- Mega Lucario’s Battle Disc Launcher

- Squirtle’s Poké Ball Roller

Phase 2 (August 15th – August 21st)
- Pikachu’s Poké Ball Wobble Roller

- Mega Charizard X’s Spinning Top

- Bulbasaur’s Poké Ball Roller

- Secret Toy

The third phase will begin on Friday, the 22nd of August, during which any of the nine toys from the first two waves will be distributed at random.

In addition to the main toy line, a special bonus campaign will be held for a limited time.
For three days, from Saturday, the 9th of August, 2025, to Monday, the 11th of August, 2025, any customer who purchases a Pokémon Happy Set will also receive a special two-card pack for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Each pack contains a guaranteed promotional Pikachu card with a unique illustration, plus one of five other possible cards at random.
During this three-day card giveaway, a purchase limit of five Happy Sets per person will be in effect.
