Studio Ghibli’s huge $300 “My Neighbor Totoro” Catbus statue is getting a restock

The official Studio Ghibli merchandise store, Donguri Kyowakoku, is re-releasing a popular and large-scale statue of the Catbus from the classic animated film, My Neighbor Totoro.
The “My Neighbor Totoro Catbus Mi~tsuketa!” statue has been out of stock for some time, and this new release offers fans a second chance to add the highly detailed figure to their collection.

The Catbus is one of the most memorable and fantastical creations from the beloved 1988 film by director Hayao Miyazaki.

It is a massive, twelve-legged feline creature that also functions as a bus, complete with furry seats and windows that look out onto the countryside.

This huge 47 centimeter long collectible statue is a dynamic recreation of the character, captured in a mid-stride pose with a roaring expression on its face.

The sculpt features a high level of detail, from the texture of its fur and the gloss of its eyes to the shape of its mouth and teeth.

The figure is designed to be a high-end display piece for fans and collectors of Studio Ghibli’s works.

The “My Neighbor Totoro Catbus Mi~tsuketa!” statue is priced at ¥49,500 (approx. $335 USD/£251 GBP).

It is scheduled to be available for purchase at physical Donguri Kyowakoku retail locations this Saturday, the 9th of August, 2025.

Pre-orders will also open on the official online store at 12:00 PM Japan Standard Time on the same day.
