Studio Ghibli Brings Back Spirited Away’s Official No-Face Soy Sauce Dispenser
Image by James RichardsonStudio Ghibli has officially announced a restock for a unique piece of kitchenware based on one of Spirited Away’s most iconic characters.
The “Spirited Away Kitchen Collection – No-Face Soy Sauce Dispenser” turns No-Face into a functional porcelain kitchen accessory inspired by his attempts to win Chihiro’s attention.

Released in 2001 and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, Spirited Away follows Chihiro after she becomes trapped in a spirit world and begins working at Yubaba’s bathhouse in an attempt to save her parents.

No-Face first appears as a quiet masked spirit before becoming increasingly attached to Chihiro, eventually producing large quantities of gold in an unsuccessful attempt to impress her.

Studio Ghibli’s dispenser plays directly on that scene, replacing the gold with soy sauce as No-Face reaches forward from the table to offer something considerably more useful.

Standing approximately 10.8 cm tall, the No-Face Soy Sauce Dispenser is made from porcelain, with silicone also used to create a non-spill seal between the head and main body.

Spirited Away has frequently crossed over into official food and kitchen merchandise, including the “Ghibli’s Table: Spirited Away” cookbook, which collects recipes based on meals and dishes seen throughout the movie alongside original creations inspired by its world.

No-Face has also appeared across other practical Studio Ghibli merchandise, including a Spirited Away bamboo fan depicting the character alongside Chihiro’s journey across the flooded landscape by train.

The “Spirited Away Kitchen Collection No-Face Soy Sauce Dispenser” is currently back in stock through Studio Ghibli’s official Donguri Kyowakoku online store in Japan for ¥2,640 (approximately $17/£13).

Donguri Kyowakoku does not ship directly internationally, so overseas fans wanting to order the soy sauce dispenser will need to use a proxy or forwarding service that provides a domestic Japanese delivery address before arranging onward shipping.
