What’s new on Starbucks Japan’s Halloween 2024 menu?
Each year Starbucks Japan releases a new Halloween themed menu and this year is no exception.
The main attraction of the 2024 halloween offering at Starbucks Japan is the “Mera Meera Frappuccino®”.
Based on the theme of “MAGICAL FIRE HALLOWEEN”, the frappucino is described as having been designed to look as if it were enchanted by the magic of flames.
The “Mera Meera Frappuccino®” mixes the flavour of condensed milk with a sweet, yet slightly tart, berry sauce, which is made from strawberries, raspberries and cranberries.
Whipped cream is piped on top of the frappucino and it’s then topped with baked chocolate chunks that have been slowly cooked to give them a crunchy texture.
To finish the drink off, your Starbucks barista will sprinkle blueberry and raspberry flavoured powder on top of the whipped cream, as if casting a delicious spell.
The sweet milk and tart flavours of the berry sauce pair perfectly with the bitterness of the chocolate chunks, making the “Mera Meera Frappuccino®” a must try drink this Halloween.
The “Mera Meera Frappuccino®” is available in tall size only and is priced at 678 yen for takeaway customers and 690 yen if you plan on enjoying it inside a Starbucks branch.
The frappucino will be stocked nationwide from the 11th of October until the 31st of October.
Also joining the Starbucks Japan “MAGICAL FIRE HALLOWEEN” menu is the “Halloween Raspberry & Blueberry Malasada”.
Starbucks Japan’s Halloween take on the classic Portuguese pastry sees cocoa-flavored donut dough filled with crimson raspberry sauce and purple blueberry cream, designed to look as if they have “melted from a magical flame”.
The malasada is a popular menu item that isn’t always available at Starbucks Japan, so customers who enjoy the normal version will certainly want to try the new Halloween interpretation.
The “Halloween Raspberry & Blueberry Malasada” will be available during the same dates as the “Mera Meera Frappuccino®” and is priced at 324 yen for takeaway customers and 330 yen if you decide to eat it in-store.
As always, seasonal menu items at Starbucks Japan are incredibly popular, so you’ll need to get down to your nearest branch as soon as possible to try these new Halloween treats, as sales may end early depending on stock levels at each branch.
